The Miami Dolphins traded for former Saints wide receiver Kenny Stills this week and he says he doesn’t think he’s there to replace Mike Wallace.

The Dolphins made a couple more big moves this offseason when they traded for former Saints wide receiver Kenny Stills on Friday and also traded Mike Wallace to the Vikings for a fifth-round pick. But Stills doesn’t think he’s there to replace Wallace.

Obviously Stills is there to replace Wallace. The Dolphins have been looking to dump Wallace because of his expensive contract for what’s been called mediocre play from the receiver. While Wallace had 10 touchdowns last season, he had just 862 yards receiving, not the kind of numbers they want from a No. 1 wide-out.

Kenny Stills said Sunday that he doesn’t think he’s replacing anyone, he’s just there to do all he can to help out.

“I don’t think I was brought in to replace anybody,” Stills told the Miami Herald. “I’m just here to do whatever I can to help the team win. Mike’s a great player. I’ve looked up to the things he’s done. I’m just here to help the team win any way that I can.”

Kenny Stills was drafted in the fifth round out of Oklahoma by the New Orleans Saints in 2013, and as the Saints continue to trade away key players like Jimmy Graham and himself he found a new home in Miami after the Saints traded for linebacker Dannell Ellerbe.

Kenny Stills caught for 931 yards and three touchdowns in 15 games last season. The Dolphins will bring in Stills to lineup with Jordan Cameron who was also acquired this offseason and Rishard Matthews.
