With the Selection Show for the NCAA Tournament finally here, we look at the second region announced, the East region.
The second No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament will be the Villanova Wildcats with a 32-2 record on the year, they were much deserving of a No. 1 seed. They’ll take on 16 seed Lafayette in the second round.

Villanova will have no cake walk if they meet Northern Iowa in the Sweet Sixteen, who was given a five-seed, a shock to many who believe Northern Iowa should’ve been seeded higher after losing just three games on the season.
Louisville was given the four seed out of the ACC after a 24-8 record, who will be a tough challenge for any team they play.
The Virginia Cavaliers were said to be a No. 1 seed for much of the NCAA season, but after losing to North Carolina in the semi-finals of the ACC tournament, they were given a 2-seed with their 29-3 record.
The three seed in the east will be the Oklahoma Sooners with a 22-10 record, but they do lead the Big 12 in scoring. Kind of a surprise giving a three seed to a 10-loss team but we’ll see how far they can go.
With Villanova at the top and big teams lurking in Virginia, Oklahoma, Louisville and Northern Iowa as well as 7-seed Michigan State, who will win the East Region and make it to the Final Four? Let us know in the comments below.
