Adebayor: Only Harry Kane can save Tottenham Hotspur
Emmanuel Adebayor thinks that only Harry Kane can save Tottenham’s season and salvage a European tournament berth next year.
Tottenham Hotspur went to Old Trafford looking to make a statement and lost to Manchester United in rather convincing fashion. United scored two goals in the first 20 minutes and the game seemed over less than a quarter of the way through the game.

The loss moved Tottenham further down the table and Manchester United held the Premier League’s most prolific scorer this season, Harry Kane, to zero goals. Emmanuel Adebayor says that the only player who can save them and get them back into contention for European soccer is Kane.
“I think he is the only one that can save our season, like I did the last season,” said Adebayor.
“He is learning through his difficult moment as well but he is fantastic player. If he keeps scoring two goals every weekend, he can save us.
“We all have a huge faith and believe in him. Hopefully, he will drag us out of the top seven and put us in the top four.”
It is possible for Tottenham to pull it out and go on a dominant win streak to end the season. The only elite club left on their schedule is Manchester City at home in early May, weeks away. The game right before that is against Southampton, a team one spot ahead of them in the table. Otherwise Tottenham play a lot of teams in the bottom half of the table, like Leicester City, Burnley, Aston Villa, Hull City and Everton.
