One person who could help fill that need is free agent defensive end Greg Hardy, who is one of the best players still available on the market.
While teams have been shying away from Greg Hardy because of his off-field issues, a recent report indicates the interest could soon be heating up. At least with one very notable team in the NFC East.
According to Mike Fisher of 105.3 The Fan, the Dallas Cowboys have begun negotiations with Hardy’s agent.

Whether the Cowboys and Hardy are close is yet to be seen.
Hardy is one of the best pass rushers in the NFL, so he would fill a huge need for an often underwhelming defense. Hardy, a former sixth-round pick of the Carolina Panthers, has 34 sacks in his career. Last season, Hardy had one sack in his one game played. The two seasons prior, Hardy racked up 15 and 11 sacks.
