The Friendly Bounce Belt: Anthony Davis is not actually human

Welcome back to the Friendly Bounce Belt, our power rankings of awesome moments in the NBA. Last week, Russell Westbrook took home the title for his insane week of play that included everything from highlights to insane stat lines. Let’s see who took it home and knocked it away from Mr. Bestbrook this week.

The Champion: Anthony Davis

It was a big week for Anthony Davis despite the fact that the Pelicans played only three games and he was only good in two of them. But man, oh man was he good in those two. On Monday, AD outplayed Friendly Bounce favorite Giannis Antetokounmpo with a 43 point, 10 rebound, six assist, two block effort including a late dagger. He followed that up by destroying the Denver Nuggets last night by putting up an absurd 36 point, 14 rebound, seven assist, nine block game. Of course because it was Anthony Davis he also provided us with highlights like this:

So yeah, Anthony Davis is the champ this week.

The Contenders:

Kyrie Irving

Kyrie Irving had 57 points on Thursday against the Spurs including that shot to send the game into an overtime he took over. He is a ton of fun.

Super Cool Beas:

The Dwyane Wade finish here is fun but look at Michael Beasley in the corner of the vine. So happy to have him back.

Bestbrook:

As we saw last week stopping Russell Westbrook is hard enough. But on Sunday the Chicago Bulls couldn’t even catch him as he put the game away with a layup.

Old Man Manu:

Look at those ups! I had no idea Manu Ginobili could do anything remotely close to that. What a play from the Spurs veteran in a game that San Antonio won handily.
