Tim Tebow could actually be a member of the Philadelphia Eagles in the coming days.

Just a few seasons ago, Tim Tebow took the NFL by storm. Known for his charisma and his larger than life persona, everybody loved Tebow and every sports station across the country featured him as their most-displayed guy. At a time, Tebow was on ESPN even more than LeBron James. Tebow hasn’t played in the league since 2012, as he has been an SEC College Football announcer. Despite that awesome job, Tebow is getting some NFL buzz around the league and one team that really likes him is the Philadelphia Eagles.

Yesterday, it was reported that Tebow worked out for the Eagles, however, it was also reported that the Eagles had no interest in signing him at the time. With a body like Tebow’s, many believe he could be the perfect joker tight end, a position that is basically a hybrid between a tight end and a fullback. Despite that, Tebow wrote this on Twitter after he was released by the New England Patriots.

“I will remain in relentless pursuit of continuing my lifelong dream of being an NFL quarterback.”

It was reported earlier today that the Eagles put third-string quarterback and former USC star Matt Barkley on the open market. More interestingly, Pro Football Talk reported that if the Eagles trade Barkley away, they would likely sign Tebow. If they do in fact bring in Tebow, it would not only be a media frenzy, but he would also be the second quarterback they’ve brought in this offseason, the other being Sam Bradford via trade.

It’s doubtful that Tebow would win over the starting position, but Chip Kelly loves certain aspects in player, and in his versatile offense, it really doesn’t come as a surprise that Kelly’s interested in Tebow. If the Eagles do in fact sign Tebow, one thing that would be intriguing is a reunion between Tebow and Mark Sanchez. However, if Kelly’s system, Eagles fans have incentive to belief that maybe the two quarterbacks could coexist.
