Clippers’ DeAndre Jordan looking forward to free agency
By Mike Dyce
Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan is looking forward to free agency.
Free agency in any sport can be a stressful time. Teams are vying for your services and there are reasons to chose each, and leaving can be a tough proposition.
You could understand why a player wouldn’t be looking forward to free agency.
The flip side of that is that you get wined and dined and teams will go out of their way to make you feel like the most important player in the world. When Carmelo Anthony was making the rounds this summer he got fancy dinners, arenas with photoshopped pictures of him on bill boards.
If you were wondering where Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan, it is the latter. On the NBA A to Z podcast he said that it was going to be a lot of fun.
“I mean I’ve obviously been here seven years, and the past two have been great,” Jordan tells Sam Amick of USA TODAY. “Doc (president of basketball operations/head coach Doc Rivers) has been my biggest supporter and the best coach I’ve ever had. The team is great. The guys are great. We have great camaraderie. But the free agency process is definitely going to be a fun one.”
