Greg Hardy appears poised to join Dallas Cowboys

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have reportedly lost interest in Greg Hardy, making the Dallas Cowboys the clear favorites to land the free agent defensive end.
It would appear that Dallas Cowboys fans are going to get a taste of the Kraken.
Free agent defensive end Greg Hardy had reportedly narrowed down his list of potential free agent destinations to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys. Hardy is expected to sign today.
If a recent report is any indication, Hardy will be joining the Cowboys after the Buccaneers have decided, “it’s not you, it’s me,” and they are no longer interested.
Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk had the news.
Hardy is one of the best pass rushers in the NFL, so he would fill a huge need for an often underwhelming defense. Hardy, a former sixth-round pick of the Carolina Panthers, has 34 sacks in his career. Last season, Hardy had one sack in his one game played.
The two seasons prior, Hardy racked up 15 and 11 sacks.
With that type of production on the field, the Cowboys will be able to overlook comments from former teammates of Hardy’s, who call the defensive standout “unmanageable” at times. Of course, he won’t be able to contribute until he is no longer on the commissioner’s exempt list.
