High School Runner steamrolls wanderer (Video)
A track official wandered too close to the finish line and got bowled over by a high school track athlete
It’s probably best to never wander onto any type of track. Whether it’s a racing track for cars or a track for runners. At the New Balance Nationals, one track official learned a lesson the hard way.

The New Balance Nationals allow the top high school track athletes to show off their running abilities before going to the next level.
One of the runners in this year’s event, Taylor McLaughlin, ran a meet record in the 400-meter championship.
McLaughlin ran a record 46.50.
As he was crossing the finish line after the impressive run, one track official got a little too close to the finish line.
Wandering too close to the finish line, the track official got hit by McLaughlin who ran full speed right into her.
McLaughlin had no chance of being able to avoid the official as he was aiming for the win and a national record.
The official didn’t just get knocked over, she went absolutely flying and got hit hard.
It’s incredible neither were hurt more than they were with the collision happening at a full sprint.
Let this be a lesson, get out-of-the-way of record-breaking runners…or all runners for that matter.
