Mitch McGary continues his impressive rookie season as he steals and throws down a massive dunk on the other end.
Mitch McGary was forced into the NBA after a failed drug test would have forced him to sit out this season at the University of Michigan, so he went into the 2014 NBA Draft, got drafted by the Oklahoma City Thunder 21st overall, and now he’s doing this to NBA rims.
Mitch McGary stole a lazy pass from Jae Crowder to Kelly Olynyk in the second quarter of the Thunder hosting the Boston Celtics and he took it to the other end, channeling his inner Russell Westbrook and absolutely flew through the air to throw down this top-10 slam dunk.
The Oklahoma City Thunder already have a plethora of big men including Serge Ibaka, Enes Kanter, Steven Adams and Nick Collison, but the young rookie has been playing well per minutes played recently. He didn’t start playing consistent minutes until February 8 against the Los Angeles Clippers when he scored 19 points and had 10 rebounds in 23 minutes. Since then, McGary has been in double figures five more times including a 12 point, 13 rebound performance against Dallas on Monday in just 13 minutes play.
McGary is hungry and he’s showing that he’s a true NBA player with his constant hustle and play-making ability.
