HA HAA! Gus Johnson’s top 10 calls
Northwestern v. Ohio State
On leap day of 2012, February 29, the hapless Northwestern Wildcats basketball squad went up against the Ohio State Buckeyes in the penultimate game of the regular season. While the Buckeyes were the 10th ranked team in the country, the Wildcats would endure yet another season outside of the NCAA tournament.
Magic was in the air, however, as Gus Johnson was calling the game from the booth. Johnson did not disappoint.
As soon as Alex Marcotullio hits the game tying three, Gus Johnson makes a sound like he was just shot in a spaghetti western by Lee Van Cleef.
Of course the Wildcats would end up losing the game mere seconds later on a Jared Sullinger bank shot.
So it goes.
