One Kentucky is guilty of premature celebration after getting a tattoo that said the Wildcats went 40-0 and national champions.
The Kentucky Wildcats won’t play their first game in the NCAA Tournament until Thursday night but one member of Big Blue Nation is ready to fast forward to the championship coronation.

Kentucky went through the regular season undefeated and won the SEC conference tournament to enter the NCAA Tournament as the prohibitive favorites to cut the nets down in April. Even though the games haven’t even been played yet one fan got a tattoo proclaiming the Wildcats at the 2015 national champions.
This is quickly becoming a trend across all sports where fans show their dedication and passion for their favorite team by getting tattoos predicting future success. Take a look at the image of Rock Wright’s tattoo courtesy of Wave 3 News.

I missed it at first look but that 40-0 at the top is awfully tiny and not as braggadocious as I would have thought. If he’s confident enough to get this ink on his leg, then why not go big and bold with the record?
He’s already planning a contingency plan should the unthinkable happen and Kentucky actually loses a game with their lineup stocked with McDonald’s All-Americans. Should UK lose, he could alter the “2015” at the bottom of the tattoo.
“It’s highly unlikely, but there’s always that little bitty chance and I could change it to a 12, ‘cause I know you all remember us winning in 2012. Otherwise, I got seven more championships before that so I got a lot of options,” Wright told Wave 3 News.
Do you think Wright is going to have to alter his tattoo in a couple of weeks when the tourney comes to a close or will he be safe? I have Kentucky waltzing through the tourney and cutting the nets down and winning their second title since 2012, but I’m not confident enough to get a large tattoo and make it permanent.
It’s March Madness after all and anything can and does happen, but I applaud his guts and passion for Kentucky basketball.
