As the Purdue Boilermakers came storming back in the second half against No. 8 seed Cincinnati, junior center AJ Hammons took a basketball right to the face.

While the junior center for the Purdue Boildermakers was making a run down the lane, an incoming pass caught him off guard and nearly took his head off.
Okay, Hammons was fine and laughed off the basketball to the face, but it still could have cracked him in the kisser and led to blood everywhere. Luckily, we didn’t have to worry about any of that, because Hammons get his head around just in time to spot the ball coming at his head.
Crisis averted.
Hammons currently leads the Boilermakers in scoring with nine points and is second in rebounding with seven.
Purdue is trailing the No. 8 seed Cincinnati Bearcats late in the second half.
The winner of Purdue vs. Cincinnati will be taking the winner of No. 1 seed Kentucky and No. 16 Hampton.
