The No. 12 seed Buffalo Bulls have been a popular pick on brackets to upset the No. 5 West Virginia and make a bit of a run. Despite the gap in their seeding, West Virginia is favored by a rather slim 4.5 points.
Part of this stems from how the Bulls played against Wisconsin and Kentucky earlier this seaosn, both No. 1 seeds in their respective regions. The Bulls led both teams at half time, including the undefeated Wildcats on the road.
West Virginia on the other had a solid record in what was perceived to be a deep Big 12 conference. After seemingly Big 12 team after Big 12 team got eliminated from the tournmanent on Friday, two in rather shocking upsets, that conference depth might have been just our perceptions.
