2015 season predictions

It’s safe to say that there’s nobody giving this team the World Series title this spring.  They definitely don’t seem as good or as exciting this time around, which is pretty safe to say considering what they lost in the offseason, which was just about everybody.  However, nobody considered the A’s a playoff favorite in 2012 when they shocked everyone and stole the AL West pennant, notching six needed wins in the end of the 2012 season to clinch.  Then they took the Tigers the distance to five games in the ALDS, something nobody saw coming either.

  • Realistically, it could be a losing season in Oakland but they could definitely pull off 75-82 wins.  However knowing the A’s as we’ve known them the past few years, they’re not a team you should count out that quickly either.

I have Oakland going 84-78, making a run at that second wild-card spot again, but just missing it by a game or so.  They won’t lead the AL West for half of a season, probably not even a month early on.  What this team does during the trade deadline will be the indicator if this team is playoff bound or not.
