Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith have scooter race (Video)

Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith try out Georgia State head coach, Ron Hunter’s scooter-his only way of getting around. Hunter tore his achilles earlier in the season, restricting his movement on the sideline.

Georgia State head coach, Ron Hunter, has had his movement limited on the sideline. During the Panthers upset victory over Baylor, the camera’s all zeroed in on Hunter noticing his struggle to remain in his seat, despite being in a leg cast. The head coach had his mobility restricted after he had leg surgery earlier this season.

Now Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley are trying out the scooters and racing them around the CBS television set to get a feel for what Hunter has been dealing with.

Even though Chuck and Kenny are poking fun at him, you have to give some props to Hunter.

Not many can get through an injury like this and still be so emotional on the sideline. As his son hit the game winning shot, solidifying their spot in the round of 32 to go up against Xavier, Hunter fell out of his rolling-char in excitement as his team celebrated.

As the healing process continues for Ron Hunter and his injured leg, it has yet to begin for Georgia State. They are hoping to keep their March Madness hopes alive tomorrow and hopefully their coach under control. But as the only #14 seed left in the tournament, any win at this point would be considered an upset.

It might be a bit difficult to keep him in his rolling-chair as the drama associated with March Madness only increases as the games go by.
