R.J. Hunter, along with his coach and father Ron, have been one of the darlings of the early parts of the 2015 NCAA Tournament. Hunter knocked down a game-winning three-pointer against the No. 3 Baylor Bears in a huge upset on Thursday.
Today, trying to earn Georgia State’s first trip to the Sweet 16, R.J. came out bombs away once again. Look at the range on this shot.

That’s more than NBA range. That’s Steph Curry range. That’s the kind of shot you generally only take in desperation at the end of a shot clock or game clock.
Yet Hunter took it with confidence and knocked it down, as Georgia State tries to keep the slipper on their foot through one more game.
Of course every year there is at least one team who comes from seemingly nowhere to get to the Sweet 16. And often it thanks in large part to long bomb shooting.
But rarely are they able to combine a sentimental story of father and son leading a school to the Sweet 16 together.
They interviewed with CBS’ crew on Friday in a fun and amazing interview.
