Smith showed off his special talent in the second quarter of Cleveland’s game on Friday against the Indiana Pacers, using multiple crossovers on C.J. Miles to free himself for a jumper.
Take a look at the impressive play below:
That sure is pretty. There are not many guys in the league that have the handles and shot-making ability to pull that play off.
That wasn’t Smith’s only helpful play of the night, as he scored 11 points to help the Cavs come away with a 95-92 win over the Pacers.
While Cleveland’s trade for Smith in January was mocked by many at the time, he’s been able to have positive impact for the Cavs as they have turned their season around.
Saturday night’s win pushed the Cavs to 45-26, clinching the team’s first postseason berth since the 2009-10 season.
Smith has averaged 12.7 points (42.0 percent shooting from the field, 38.7 percent shooting from beyond the arc), 3.7 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game with the Cavaliers this season (36 games).
