The Utah Utes will be taking a trip to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament following their win over Georgetown on Saturday
We’re rolling along here on Saturday night with the Third Round of the NCAA Tournament, and as the games unfold, we’re slowly but surely learning the member of this year’s Sweet 16. Well the latest member of that elite club for this season is none other than the Utah Utes.
Utah went into their match up with Georgetown on Saturday night, fresh off of their win over Stephen F. Austin on Thursday, a game which they almost lost, and they put on a much better showing this time around. They were fluid on the offensive end of the court and they more than deserved this shot at the regional title.
As for Georgetown, well, now there are a lot of people who have had their claims validated that the Hoyas didn’t belong.
Here’s a look at the updated bracket following the Utah win on Saturday.

The Sweet 16 field is quickly taking shape and Utah is just the latest addition to the fold. The best part is that there are still two more slots to fill on this Saturday night.
