A look at the current field for the 2015 Women’s NIT bracket now that the action of the first round is complete

March is full of college basketball action, which means that it’s easy to forget that there are other tournaments going on other than the NCAAs. For example, the Women’s NIT has already begun. Much like the Men’s NIT, this tournament is filled with teams that were just on the bubble of making the NCAA Women’s Tournament.

Well, the first round of the Women’s NIT is in the books after this week and we’re sure to be in store for some tremendous college basketball action.

From the looks of the field that is left, we’re going to be getting a lot of good match ups in round two of this tournament, such as Temple taking on Penn and the UCLA women battling San Diego in a west coast showdown.

While this might not be the most prestigious tournament there is, we could end up seeing some of the best basketball games of March in this tournament.

Here is a look at the updated bracket as we head into the Second Round.
