Arizona State travels to Richmond to take on the No. 1 Spiders who knocked off St. Francis in their opening game in the NIT by the score of 84-74. Richmond was led by Terry Allen who had a double-double with a game-high 21 points and 11 rebounds.
They’ll have to contend with an Arizona State team riding high after knocking off the defending NCAA champions, UConn in their first round game in the NIT behind a game-high 22 points from senior forward Shaq McKissic.
“It’s so important to him that at times you almost feel him willing our team to wins,” ASU coach Herb Sendek said of McKissic, via ESPN.com. “He made some big baskets down the homestretch and he’s done that time and time again for us this season.”
