In a surprising turn of events, the Sacramento Kings dominated the Washington Wizards tonight – and that means that DeMarcus Cousins must have been doing DeMarcus Cousins things.
After already having a nice little lead, Cousins decided he was going to get his guard on and show off his handles. Someone had to be the victim, and unfortunately for Nene, that someone was him.
Big men aren’t supposed to be able to do things like that, but then again, Cousins isn’t your average NBA center.
Nene wasn’t able to recover from the nice crossover and ended up fouling Cousins to give him an easy and-one. It was very fitting that Cousins ended the play in a guard-esque finger roll after he displayed the handles of a guard.
Cousins had his first monster season last year in just his fourth season of being a professional, and he is having quiet the encore season. Dwight Howard used to be the undisputed best center in the league, but that title has gone to Cousins as he is averaging 23.7 points (47.0 percent shooting), 12.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.6 blocks and 1.4 steals this year.
If only his talents were being displayed on a better team.
