These two aren’t rivals to add any drama to this match, they’ll just be fighting for a spot in the Sweet 16, a big prize. Oklahoma come into this game as favorites and would be expected to advance, though Dayton are a capable team and it could be a game that reeks of an upset.
The Dayton team have to overcome a strenuous schedule that saw them play Boise State on Wednesday in the First Four, then take on Providence on Friday night in the Round of 64 to play again on Sunday. Oklahoma could be fresher and ready to go, giving them an advantage.
The game being played in Ohio does give Dayton a virtual home court advantage to level out that edge for OU.
