This could be the year that Gonzaga finally reaches the Final Four, but before they do, they have to get through an Iowa team that steamrolled No. 10 Davidson on Friday. Aaron White led Iowa with 26 points, including 13 straight points as part of an 18-3 run the Hawkeyes went on in the second half to put any upset hopes of Davidson to rest.

“When he gets going like that, it becomes infectious to the rest of the team,” Iowa coach Fran McCaffery said, via ESPN.com. “When you’re playing at the energy level that he plays with, that’s what everybody else wants to do.”

Gonzaga didn’t blowout their competition like Iowa after they were outscored by three in the second half of their 86-76 win over NDSU, but they got 23 points from Kyle Wiltjer to advance to the Round of 32 for the seventh straight year, tying Kansas for the longest active streak.

“We celebrate,” coach Mark Few said, via ESPN.com. “Any time you get a win this time of year, you need to celebrate it. It’s a special, special happening. You never take it for granted. I sure never take it for granted and I make sure these guys don’t.”
