Bob Huggins’ team was boosted with the return of Juwan Staten who scored 15 point and had seven assists after missing the previous four games. West Virginia also got a clutch three pointer from Tarik Phillips in the closing seconds to lift the team to the Round of 32 where they’ll meet No. 4 Maryland.

The Terps were tested in their second round game against an upset-minded No. 13 Valparaiso team who had the ball with time running out in the game and trailed by three.
