Women’s NCAA Tournament action continues Monday, as the third seeded Sun Devils of Arizona State take on the eleventh seeded Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans for the right to advance to the Sweet Sixteen in the Greensboro Region.
Arkansas-Little Rock pulled the first-round upset over sixth seeded Texas A&M and hopes to continue their roll against the Sun Devils. The Trojans went 29-4 this season en route to winning the Sun Belt conference. The Trojans haven’t lost since Feb. 21; they should be a handful for Arizona State in this one.
Arizona State is coming off a decisive 74-55 victory over the Ohio Bobcats, and hope to similarly dispose of the next mid-major team on the schedule. The Sun Devils went 28-5 this year, coming in second in the tough Pac-12 conference despite starting the season unranked. They’ll enjoy a favorable crowd in Tempe, Ariz. for this game, and hope to steamroll the Trojans on their way to Greensboro.
