Peyton Manning and Hulk Hogan are wearing what?

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning compares “dad” wear with wrestler Hulk Hogan.

One of the greatest NFL quarterbacks ever meeting one of the most famous wrestlers ever seems like the main news, but no, this is the internet, and it’s infinitely more important that both of them were wearing dad clothes.

Or mom jeans, I guess, if you don’t believe in dad jeans. Meanwhile, Hulk Hogan‘s dad cred comes from his shirt with the paraphrased George Strait quote, as SB Nation points out. Basically, it all comes down to two really famous dudes looking really uncool.

Of course, it’s important to remember that Hogan is quite a bit older than Peyton Manning and Manning would have been between 8 and 15 during the height of Hulkmania. So it could be that Manning was a big fan of the Hulkster as a kid. The ironic thing is that Manning is arguably far more of a celebrity than Hogan, and yet, if you asked a random person, more would probably know who Hogan is rather than Manning.

Manning is just trying to get some off time before what will likely be a heavily scrutinized 2015 campaign. The Broncos had a window last year to make things happen, spending big money on highly-desired free agents. However, Manning faltered near the end and the team made a rather undignified exit from the post-season. Then came the rumors that Manning might retire, then Broncos coach John Fox was fired and a new coach in Gary Kubiak was hired, while people wondered how Manning will deal with Kubiak’s system.

No wonder Manning wants to get away and hang out with the Hulk.
