Adrian Peterson’s rep meets with Vikings, no resolution
By Mike Dyce
Adrian Peterson’s agent met with the Minnesota Vikings and a resolution wasn’t reached.
The Minnesota Vikings reportedly met with representatives for running back Adrian Peterson on Monday night. Most likely they discussed where the two sides stand, but the meeting didn’t bring about any conclusion to their standoff and saga.
There have been rumors that the running back is looking to part ways with the Vikings and head to a new team. Some claim that Peterson is desperate to get out.
The Vikings on the other hand claim to want Peterson to stay in purple and gold next year. That could be simply for appearances to the public, it could be a smoke screen, who knows. It likely is to bait any team that wants Peterson in a trade to offer more assets for his services.
Given his high price tag, there probably are a lot of teams that’d rather wait to see if he gets released, which could lessen the cap hit a team would take to acquire him.
Either way, the situation is messy and doesn’t seem to be getting any better.
