A long-term deal between the Dallas Cowboys and Dez Bryant is realistic according to executive VP Stephen Jones.
The Dallas Cowboys had a hard decision to make when it came to star offensive players running back DeMarco Murray and wide receiver Dez Bryant. They elected to slap the franchise tag on Bryant to prevent him from leaving and were unable to offer Murray enough money to get a deal done, and he left for the rival Philadelphia Eagles.

Basically said there's a logjam of elite young WRs (Dez, Demaryius, Julio, AJ) who are about to get paid, teams are studying the market.
