New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis said on ESPN’s Mike & Mike he cut back on his smack talk after injury.
Darrelle Revis continues to keep himself in the news this offseason. Tuesday, the Jets filed tampering charges to the league office over comments made by Patriots owner Robert Kraft regarding the star cornerback.
Then Wednesday morning Revis joined ESPN’s Mike & Mike to discuss plenty of issues. One was noteworthy, regarding his play on the field.
Revis tore his ACL in his final season in his first trial run with the Jets in 2012. It came early in the year and left the Jets searching for answers at cornerback. Of course, Revis used to dub his matchup with opposing receivers as “Revis Island”.

But “Revis Island” has apparently been shut down. In his second go-round with the Jets, rather than being an introverted personality, Revis is instead is looking forward to playing new head coach Todd Bowles’ attacking 3-4 defense, similar to the one left behind by Rex Ryan.
Even without the outspoken Rex Ryan, and a more humble Revis, the Jets will continue to fun to follow as a fan of the team or from afar.
