Although he signed with the New York Jets, many teams were extremely interested in Darrelle Revis and his services.
After the New England Patriots decided not to pick up his option, Darrelle Revis became a free agent, and he would eventually go back to the team that originally drafted him in the New York Jets. By returning to New York, Revis joined a defense that, even though was without a secondary, had one of the best defensive lines in the league.
Antonio Cromartie would eventually return, so the band from 2012 was pretty much back. Despite Revis going to the Jets, top cornerbacks always seems to get a ton of interest, and Revis is no other.

In an interview with SNY’s Loud Mouths, Revis had garnered attention from the Green Bay Packers, the Kansas City Chiefs, the Cleveland Browns, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Baltimore Ravens.
“(It) was the Packers, Steelers, Baltimore as well as Cleveland, the Chiefs, the Jets and also the Pats, so there was a number of teams there,” Revis said, via NFL.com. “I sat down and had conversations with (them) to see if we could work something out.”
Without question, Revis is one of the best cornerbacks in the league and he was one of main reasons why the Patriots won this past year’s Super Bowl. Revis also talked about the Patriots and how they had the chance to re-sign him if they wanted to.
“You know they had the opportunity, they had a number of options to do a number of things,” Revis said. “I had an option for $20 million they could have picked up and they didn’t decide to which is fine. They tried to negotiate another deal so you know that was just something I had to go through as well.”
Despite all of the attention he had this offseason, Revis is happy being a Jet. At 29 years old, Revis is in the prime of his career and with a promising head coach like Todd Bowles in place, the Jets could be successful in 2015. With the addition of Revis, their defense improved tremendously.
