Robert Covington flat out embarrassed Andre Miller
Come on, Robert Covington, you’re supposed to treat our seniors with respect.
Andre Miller is 80 years old (alright, he’s only 39, but that’s like 80 in basketball years), and last night he got dunked on pretty bad by Covington during a one-point Sacramento Kings win over the Philadelphia 76ers.
Miller is too smart to try to jump and defend a dunk like that, but he was in the wrong place at the wrong time for this one. Miller was traded to the Kings at the deadline this year making it the seventh team he has ever played for. With the Kings, Miller is averaging 6.8 points (46 percent shooting) and 5.4 assists per game. The points and assists are the highest they have been since the 2012-13 season.
Not only did Covington have this awesome dunk, but he had an incredible game overall as he finished with 21 points on 78 percent shooting. This was just another good game for Covington during the best season of his career. He barely saw any action last year in his rookie campaign, but he has started 40 games this year and is averaging over 27 minutes per game. In the time he is getting, Covington is averaging 12.8 points (39 percent shooting) and 4.5 rebounds per game this year.
