Four teams have emerged in the Sweet Sixteen this year even though no one really expected them to. How far can they all make it in the tournament?

The NCAA tournament hasn’t really seen many lower seeded teams get past the round of 32 this year. While Georgia State, UAB, and Dayton made it out alive in the round of 64, they were all sent home their next game. One of the real big surprises is UCLA making it to the Sweet Sixteen. But that is more because we were all shocked they were in the tournament to begin with.

But some underdogs still exist this year. NC State pulled off a phenomenal upset over Villanova. Tom Izzo led his seven seeded Spartans to another Sweet Sixteen. And Wichita State knocked off their friends from Kansas. So March Madness junkies can’t get too upset that no upsets whatsoever are happening.

Though some unlikely teams made it out of the second round, the big bad Kentucky Wildcats still remain the favorites, as no team has been able to steal a game from the John Calipari’s loaded team all season. But perfect doesn’t mean impenetrable. There is still plenty of talent left to compete with the Wildcats.

As the tournament proceeds the question remains how well these teams can do. Most of them are just happy to be where they are at. While some are looking to return to their rightful place in the Final Four. But either way, these unlikely low seeded teams have come out of the round of 32 to emerge as a part of the best 16 teams in college basketball. But how far can they really go this year?
