A basketball player attempted to jump over a car during a dunk contest like Blake Griffin had done, but failed miserably.

When I was younger, I would watch the dunk contests by all the stars and try to do the same dunks that the stars were doing. The rim was lowered so that I could actually throw it down, but I wanted to be just like the NBA players. Lloyd Hickinson must have had the same thought when he was watching Blake Griffin throw down some dunks a few seasons back during the dunk contest.

Hickinson was in a dunk contest during the Golden Chihuahua All-Star Game in Mexico when he tried to pull off that same dunk that Blake did when he jumped over a car. The results were an epic fail.

Hickinson had it all prepped to shine in front of the audience. The sparklers went off at the top of the bucket as he attempted to throw it down and all. Too bad he was stuffed by the rim and got a nice shin burger on the way down from the car and almost faceplanted into the court. It was a pretty awful attempt and all the things that could go wrong… did.

He got another attempt at the dunk and was was able to successfully convert, but we were all still laughing at the first failed attempt. He probably should have practiced that a little bit more.
