Updated NCAA Tournament bracket: Notre Dame advances to Elite 8
By Jack Crosby
The dream season for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will continue rolling on in the Elite 8 after they defeated Wichita State in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament
The Sweet 16 portion of the NCAA Tournament got underway on Thursday, and the first game that we were treated to featured the No. 3 seed in the Midwest, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, taking on the No. 7 seed Wichita State Shockers, who were coming off a monumental upset of Kansas last weekend.

However, as it would turn out, this really wasn’t much of a game at all, as Notre Dame cruised to the easy win and have no earned themselves a chance to play for the regional title in the Elite 8 this weekend.
Notre Dame was quite simply clicking on all cylinders from start to finish in this one, and the Shockers really had no answer. Wichita State would cut into the lead a few times, but the ACC champs would just keep moving away, eventually capturing the win.
That said, here’s a look at the updated NCAA Tournament bracket following the Notre Dame win.
Now, as you can see, the Irish will now await the winner of the game tonight between West Virginia and undefeated Kentucky. The Midwest regional title game will take place on Saturday.
