Amare Stoudemire doesn’t plan on retiring
After Amare Stoudemire’s lengthy contract expires at the end of the season, the former All-Star has no plans to retire.
Since joining the Dallas Mavericks, Amare Stoudemire has been a productive player off the bench. While, his career in New York was limited because knee injuries, and Stoudemire has to play limited minutes because of his knees, the power forward has been good in his limited minutes off the bench for Dallas.

Recently, his longtime point guard from his time in Phoenix, Steve Nash retired. Before the season began, his other teammate in Phoenix, Shawn Marion announced he would be retiring after the season was over.
With two members of the trio retiring, some have speculated whether Stoudemire, who is 32-years-old, would join his former teammates and call it a career.
Stoudemire knows he’s the last of the three remaining, but he won’t retire as a result of it.
“I’m the last man standing,” Stoudemire told ESPN’s Tim MacMahon. “I plan on standing for a while, by the way.”
Stoudemire, in his limited minutes with the Dallas Mavericks, has shown some explosiveness, the shooting form he had when he was at the top of his game and a competitive spirit.
Stoudemire is averaging 11.4 points per game and 5.9 rebounds in a little under 22 minutes a game this season.
Stoudemire’s old teammates have decided to hang it up for good, but don’t expect Stoudemire to join them anytime soon as he continues quest of capturing an NBA title.
However, playing a loaded Western Conference, the road won’t be easy for Stoudemire and the Dallas Mavericks.
