NCAA Tournament bracket: Saturday Elite Eight match ups set
By Jack Crosby
After the events on the court Thursday night, we now know the Elite Eight match ups that are set for Saturday in the NCAA Tournament
Following the four games on Thursday night, we now know the four participants for Saturday in the Midwest and West Regional title games in the 2015 NCAA Tournament. Kentucky and Notre Dame will square off in the Midwest, while Arizona and Wisconsin will battle it out in the West.
Notre Dame got the night started off in a big way, taking care of a very good Wichita State team. This was maybe the best overall game they’ve played to this point, and the ACC Champions are rolling in the month of March here still. When it was all said and done, they punched their ticket to the Midwest title game.
Wisconsin, just a short time later, earned themselves a spot in the West title game, as they were able to fend off a very good effort from North Carolina. The Badgers were definitely tested in this one, but they ended up passing with flying colors.
Next, we were all treated to the Kentucky Wildcats absolutely obliterating West Virginia, moving their record to an amazing 37-0. This was complete and utter domination from start to finish, and this team seems as unstoppable as ever.
Finally, to round out the action Thursday and complete the schedule on Saturday, Arizona was able to escape a scare from Xavier and earn a trip to the West Region final to take on the No. 1 seed Badgers.
With that, here’s a look at the updated bracket following the action on Thursday.
