Miami Marlins

  • 2014 Finish: 77-85, 4th in NL East
  • 2015 Key to Success: Hold down the fort for Fernandez

One of the more interesting squads in 2015 resides in Florida – or more specifically, Miami.

Take a gander at the outfield these guys have:

  • LF: Christain Yelich, 23 years old
  • CF: Marcell Ozuna, 24 years old
  • RF: Giancarlo Stanton, 25 years old

This could be the best young outfield in the game.

Stanton was locked up to an absurd 13-year, $325 million contract this past offseason, and this past week the organization locked up Yelich to an Evan Longoria-like “get ’em quick before they bust” type contract as well.

With Ozuna impressing baseball with 23 HR and 85 RBI during his first full big league season in 2014, the Marlins all of a sudden have an outfield that could grow up and stay together for a very long time.

Speaking of phenoms, stud pitcher Jose Fernandez is targeted to make his long awaited return from Tommy John surgery in mid to late June.

Miami’s key to success will come down to the starting staff holding down the fort until Fernandez returns.

The club picked up righty Mat Latos during the offseason which could be a huge benefit.
