Drafted toward the end of the first-round in the draft last year, Capela was one of the more intriguing foreign prospects available.
Monday night, the center showed off his leaping ability as he threw down a vicious dunk on the Raptors.
Catching a beautiful feed, Capela went between Raptors defenders, Patrick Patterson and Lou Williams, and caught some major air as he finished the dunk with one hand.
Patterson initially makes an effort to stop Capela, but once he got a close look at the rookie coming in with a full head of steam, Patterson pulled out before ending up on a poster.
It’s really hard to describe the attempted defense by Williams, but it can easily be summed up as simple as it didn’t really work out for him.
The Rockets liked what they saw from Capela heading into the draft, and if the young center continues to improve, that will make the Rockets an even tougher matchup once the playoffs begin.
