Four teams have clinched a playoff spot as the NHL season has two weeks left as teams jockey for playoff spots and the top spot in this week’s NHL power rankings.

Only two weeks remain in the NHL regular season and four of the 16 playoff tickets have already been punched with Montreal, New York, Nashville and Anaheim clinching playoff spots.

More from NHL

The Ducks extended their lead for the President’s Trophy to three points after winning on Sunday to improve to 105 points on the year. They hold a three-point lead over the resurgent Predators who are winners of four straight and have a three-point lead over the St. Louis Blues for first place in the Central division.

Montreal holds a slim one-point lead over the Rangers for the best record in the Eastern Conference and the Habs get their last chance at picking up a win against division rival Tampa Bay on Monday in the Bell Centre. The Rangers have a game in hand on the Canadiens but have lost two games in a row since the return of Henrik Lundqvist to the lineup after missing seven weeks.

While those four teams occupy the top of the standings, that doesn’t mean the NHL power rankings have those four teams in the top four spots. A crowded group of teams with 95-plus points could see as many as six teams clinch playoff spots this week while nearly just as many will officially be eliminated and join the likes of Buffalo and Arizona of teams planning their vacations.

With only two weeks left of the season, here are the NHL power rankings for Week 25.
