Hawks’ Kyle Korver realizes he can’t miss and acts accordingly (Video)
By Troy Foster
Atlanta Hawks guard Kyle Korver catches fire and cooks a meal with said fire.
The Milwaukee Bucks in Tuesday’s game were only down 5 points with 5:56 in the 3rd. This is our starting point for one of those performances that happens only a handful of times a season. Kyle Korver called his own number four times consecutively. Watching each shot going in was a satisfaction of the perfected view of Kyle Korver. With the closing of the regular season teams start to make plans for either the post-season, or figuring out who is going to be around for next season.
NBA fan’s can become starved for competitive basketball. My hunger was temporarily satiated when Chef Korver whipped me up a four-course meal last night. What follows are my thoughts.
Pulled Venison Nacho’s
This dish came out a little too hot, to be honest. The first taste was sort of a let down, but once the flavors came out it was smooth going down. The spice on this dish in retrospect set the town for the rest of the food that night. This long shot was great start to a great night.

Venison Tortilla Soup
With such a safe choice of Tortilla Soup this dish could have been a let down. Chef Korver came through with a very methodical, interesting, and classical dish. The conventions of this dish were premeditated. There was a slight miss step when it came to preparation, crossing the line of not smooth and creamy enough, but alas the finish was flawless.
Brined Venison Roast with Black Bean Sauce
This is the classic dish that could have been a safe choice. As per usual with Chef Korver, though he imparted his will on this mouth watering dish. He broke convention with the choice to not respect space blending spice, salt, and savory flavors. Many would say doing this would cut his legs out of from under him, but again despite the complexity during the actual cooking process Chef Korver created one of the most memorable dishes of the night.
Orchata Bread Pudding
Chef Korver could have played it safe at this point. Three fantastic dishes he could have mailed this one in, but fortune favors the bold. What started out as just a handful of good dishes became a complete meal with this interesting take on Bread Pudding. Another long shot, and a crowd pleaser, that put a nice bow on the meal.
