Atlanta Falcons

  • 2014 Finish: 6-10, 3rd in NFC South
  • Top Positional Need: Linebacker

For brand spanking new head coach Dan Quinn, defense will be the name of the game in Atlanta.

It seems Thomas Dimitroff has finally gotten sick and tired of watching the same old offensive squad on a yearly basis.

Falcons Linebackers:

  • Reed Brooks (Sam)
  • Paul Worrilow (Middle)
  • Justin Durant (Weak)

Although a new defensive minded boss is in town, he brings the same 4-3 scheme the Falcons were used to under Mike Smith.

The linebacking group across the board needs an upheaval.

Reed Brooks was signed from Houston. While Brooks never fully panned out to his edge rushing potential with the Texans, he does provide above an above average, workmanlike attitude to the unit. The question of whether he can shift from an edge guy to a 4-3 outside guy remains to be seen.

The Falcons would be ecstatic if Vic Beasley fell to them in the No. 9 hole.

They could also go Shane Ray or even select Brandon Scherff to bolster a lackluster offensive line.
