Arizona’s Rondae Hollis-Jefferson will enter the 2015 NBA Draft, according to Scout.com’s Evan Daniels.

The Arizona Wildcats are on the verge of losing one of their top talents.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson will declare for the 2015 NBA Draft, according to Scout.com’s Evan Daniels.

Hollis-Jefferson is coming off a big sophomore season for the Wildcats, as he averaged 11.2 points (50.2 percent shooting from the field) and a team-best 6.8 rebounds per game.

Hollis-Jefferson also performed well during the 2015 NCAA Tournament. He racked up double-doubles in the Wildcats’ first two games. While he struggled in Arizona’s Sweet 16 win over Xavier (five points and two rebounds), he rebounded with a 17-point and eight-rebound performance in the team’s Elite Eight loss to Wisconsin.

DraftExpress currently projects him to go No. 24 overall to the San Antonio Spurs. Their scouting report on him reads:

"At the NBA level, Hollis-Jefferson has the potential to be a great role player for a team with his lockdown defensive ability and the energy he will bring. His current offensive tools don’t project him to be anything more than a role-player at best, but if he can improve his perimeter skill-set, he could turn into a more well-rounded player. Many NBA teams will be itching to have a player with his athleticism and motor and Hollis-Jefferson should be able to contribute on both sides of the court."

ESPN’s Chad Ford also has Hollis-Jefferson as a first-round prospect.

While Hollis-Jefferson leaving for the draft is far from a surprise, it’s still a tough loss for Arizona. The team is also expected to lose Stanley Johnson and Kaleb Tarczewski to the draft.
