Golden State Warriors vs Los Angeles Clippers

Man this series would be something.

Aesthetically, this would be the best series out West. It’s not only a rematch of last year’s highly-contested seven-game series that the Clippers won but it also includes a matchup between two teams that have stern tension when they step on the court against one another. You want playoff intensity then this is the series for you.

Right now these are two of the league’s hottest teams (Warriors have won 10 in a row; the Clippers have won 7 of their last 8 games) and the way the playoffs are set up, there’s a solid chance both teams meet up in the second round (Warriors are the No. 1 seed and the Clippers are a No. 5 seed).

Reasons to want this series:

1. These are two of the NBA’s best offensive teams (Warriors are first in points per game, while the Clippers are second) and when each offense gets going, there both difficult to stop and super fun to watch.
2. The Stephen Curry-Chris Paul point guard matchup would be sizzling, i.e. Curry broke Paul’s ankles recently.
3. Blake Griffin and Draymond Green going at each other is always intriguing.
4. If this is a second round series, then the Clippers have more pressure to advance to the West finals because this particular group (Paul, Griffin, Doc Rivers, DeAndre Jordan) has never made it past the second round of the playoffs.
5. It would be fun to see how many games the Clippers would win on the road in this series, given the Warriors have been pretty much unbeatable at Oracle Arena (34-2 home record) and they held a 19-game winning streak at one point in time during the season.

Those are just some of the many reasons why we should all hope for a Golden State- L.A. series.
