John Wall’s beautiful behind-the-back pass to Marcin Gortat (video)

John Wall continues to show that he’s the magic behind the Wizards impressive run into the Eastern Conference playoffs.
The Washington Wizards were recently 1-5 in a six-game span, but thankfully their schedule gifted them the Philadelphia 76ers and New York Knicks back-to-back to give them some relief.

The Wizards were able to easily beat the 76ers on Wednesday, and they have a eight-point lead over the Knicks at halftime. The biggest reason for Washington’s lead is the two-man combo of John Wall and Marcin Gortat. Wall already has 11 assists, and a lot of those have gone to Gortat who leads the game in scoring with 14 points on 70 percent shooting.
A lot of Wall’s assists to Gortat were nice, but none of them were better than when he sliced through the defense to deliver a perfect behind-the-back pass.
This play really shows the chemistry between the two as Wall is comfortable dishing a no-look pass in traffic – and a difficult pass at that.
On the season, Wall is averaging 17.6 points (45 percent shooting), 9.9 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 1.8 steals. His buddy Gortat is averaging 11.9 points (56 percent shooting) and 8.7 rebounds.
As the season comes to an end, it looks like the Wizards are locked in as the 5-seed in the Eastern Conference. If everything stays as it is now, this would have the Wizards starting the playoffs in Chicago to take on the Bulls.
