Where Is Anthony Rendon In Our Top Ten Third Basemen?

I don’t really like the way third base is looking this year in fantasy baseball. There is no one that I am just dying to own on my teams this year. Anthony Rendon can change that though. Rendon is a guy that could possibly dethrone Adrian Beltre from that top spot. I really like the potential of Anthony Rendon and expect him to continue on his hot streak this year and prove it is more than a streak.

It seems like there may be plenty of average guys, but once you get past Anthony Rendon and Adrian Beltre there is not much to get crazy excited about. Let’s get rolling on the list.

If there was anyone here to get excited about it, it is Manny Machado. Machado is a guy that I would like to own on all my fantasy baseball teams as he could explode this year and easily be a top 2 or 3 third baseman next year. I am expecting Machado to exceed his expectations even if just by a little bit. The only problem is if you can’t draft him typically he has a huge price tag on his head due to his untapped potential.. Third Base. Baltimore Orioles. Manny Machado. 10. player. 11

Third Base. St. Louis Cardinals. Matt Carpenter. 9. player. 32. Matt Carpenter just continues to plug along and be a solid player for the Cardinals. He is not an extremely exciting player to own but he is just such a pure professional. Carpenter is one of those guys you can draft with complete confidence and know that he is going to show up everyday and give his best effort.

108. You can almost safely draft Arenoda just strictly off of being in Colorado. He had a pretty good campaign in 2014 swatting 18 homers. I would expect to see him improve upon that and jump into the 20 HRs club this year and improve his average and RBIs. He is still a young guy with tons of potential and room to improve for your fantasy baseball team.. Third Base. Colorado Rockies. Nolan Arenado. 8. player

player. 62. Kyle Seager is coming off of a great 2014 season where he posted good numbers including 96 RBIs with 25 HRs. I am not sure why, but I have never been a big fan of his because all he does is produce. I am a believer this year so draft him with confidence and let’s see if he can climb the ladder and get higher on this list.. Third Base. Seattle Mariners. Kyle Seager. 7

Chris Davis. 6. player. 11. Chris Davis is a guy I actually wanted to put lower, but the simple fact is the guy has power. I have him here because I believe in his power, but if I find him on my fantasy baseball team or in my draft queue I am trading him once he gets hot.. Third Base. Baltimore Orioles

61. This guy is the real deal. I like to own Frazier on my team and watch him rack up the numbers. Frazier is coming off of a 20/20 season and while the speed for this year is debatable his power and skill are not. If he pulls off another season with 20+ HRs and 20+ SBs don’t be the guy who wishes you drafted him.. Third Base. Cincinnati Reds. Todd Frazier. 5. player

21. Evan Longoria is a player who seems to be typically hurt and missing time. He is super talented and when he plays he produces but he is not a guy that I will be targeting in my drafts. Let someone else deal with him.. Third Base. Tampa Bay Rays. Evan Longoria. 3. player

Third Base. Washington Nationals. Anthony Rendon. 2. player. 90. Anthony Rendon really jumped on the scene last year and became a surprise even to the smart owners who drafted him late last year. This year Rendon will be holding down the hot corner for the Nats and should be a solid source of stats for your fantasy baseball team. Don’t be shocked to see him drop 20/20 numbers and be one of the better third basemen all season.

When it comes to third basemen Beltre has been a mainstay for the last few years among the top producers. He is likely to hit well over .300 and 30 homers. That kind of production is rare at any position in baseball and if you can nab him for your fantasy team my advice is get it done. You will not find a better third baseman this year barring an injury.. Third Base. Texas Rangers. Adrian Beltre. 1. player. 95
