This Easter has already been filled with great highlight plays, and Terrence Jones nearly had the best moment of them all.
In case you missed it, the Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder had an insane Easter battle today.

There are only a handful of games left in the regular season for each team, and since the Western Conference is so freaking amazing, this game (and every game moving forward) was of the utmost importance for both the Rockets and Thunder. Houston is current the 2-seed in the West, but they only have a one-game lead over the third place team and a two-game lead over the 6-seed. This conference really is that tight, and even though the Rockets have been amazing as of late, they are only a couple of bad games away from falling waaaaaay down the playoff seeding. Things aren’t that complicated for the Thunder. The only way they will make the playoffs is by snagging the eighth and final seed, and right now they have a half-game lead (one more win) over the New Orleans Pelicans for that spot.
Even though the game was more important to the Thunder, it was the Rockets who walked away victorious in an incredible 115-112 contest. It was the battle of two MVP candidates, and they both showed up big time. James Harden finished with 41 points (55 percent shooting), six rebounds, six assists, three steals and his former teammate Russell Westbrook got yet another triple-double with 40 points (41 percent shooting), 13 assists and 11 rebounds.
There were numerous big plays in this game, including one from Houston’s Terrence Jones. Kyle Singler flew by him for an easy bucket, but Jones had a great recovery to get the block at the rim.
The great thing about this block was the fact that Jones nearly dunked the ball from blocking it. Fortunately for him, the ball rimmed out to prevent him from looking like a fool. It sure would have been a lot more entertaining had Jones dunked it through, though.
