Anthony Davis says Warriors approached game like a scrimmage (video)
By Ernie Padaon
Anthony Davis believes that the Golden State Warriors came into the game like it was a scrimmage.
The New Orleans Pelicans were able to take the 103-100 win against the Golden State Warriors to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Pelicans are holding onto the 8th seed in the West over the Oklahoma City Thunder and need to keep finding ways to get wins. They were playing against the top team in the league and Anthony Davis felt disrespected by them. He believed that the Warriors came into the game like it was a scrimmage.
Davis and the rest of the team took that personally and came out to get the win.
If the New Orleans Pelicans were able to get into the playoffs, they would take the 8th seed and would go up against these same Golden State Warriors. Davis and the rest of the team will hold that same motivation in the playoffs. It will not be an easy series for the Pelicans to win, but that little extra motivation could come into play for them.
They will take anything that they can get and this win will give them a little more confidence when they go up against them. The Pelicans have 5 more games on the schedule to make their run into the playoffs. They have to hold off the Thunder in order to make it happen.
