Miguel Angel Jimenez really seems to take enjoy the small things in life, even when stretching

It’s become somewhat of a routine by now, but Miguel Angel Jimenez’s warm up at Augusta never ceases to astound and delight fans world wide. I mean, how can you take a sportsman seriously when he is puffing on a comically large cigar while doing his pre-game stretching.

When he starts to do the duck walk with a cheeky, child-like grin on his face, I couldn’t help but roar laughing. A man in the top end of his field, at the biggest competition of the year–and this is how he prepares? This type of routine wouldn’t be out of place in Happy Gilmore, and yet thanks to the Spaniard, we get to enjoy it every year in real life.

It will be a very sad day in golf when this man finally decides to hang up his clubs, he really does add to the atmosphere at tournaments like the Masters. With a stretch like that, it’s apparent to everyone that he could have been a top athlete in every sport…
