Here’s a public service announcement: Gerald Green can dunk.
Gerald Green went from only being known as a player who dunks to actually being a productive member to a team – but he still throws it down all the time.

A lot of teams in the Western conference need to look at their remaining regular season games as must-wins, but the Dallas Mavericks and Phoenix Suns aren’t really in that type of scenario anymore. The Suns should still try to win all their games as they are three games back from the final playoff spot in the West, but it just seems incredibly unlikely that they will make the playoffs. It would basically take the both the Oklahoma City Thunder and New Orleans Pelicans losing out and the Suns winning out for Phoenix to make the playoffs – and that is probably too much to ask. The Mavericks are in the playoffs, but it doesn’t look like their seeding will change at all from now until the end of the year. Right now they are locked in at the 7-seed and have a five-game lead over the 8-seed and are five games back from the 6-seed. So once again, doesn’t look like much will change there.
Even though tonight’s game between Dallas and Phoenix doesn’t mean much, both teams are going to come out hard and try to take home a victory. The game has been very tight throughout, and Green has actually been the top performer so far with 15 points on 55 percent shooting and one powerful slam dunk.
Green was averaging 19.5 points on 48.5 percent shooting in the two games leading up to tonight’s contest, so it’s no surprise that he started hot against the Mavericks. He might have a chance to break his season-high of 28 points in which he got at the beginning of the year.
